Papang’s Birthday Celebration at Kiwa Adventure
March 23, 2008For a change, and since it happened that my father’s birthday on March 20 fell on a holiday (Maundy Thursday) so we don’t have work, we went to Kiwa Adventure located at Bgy. Upper Kiwanan, Midsayap, Cotabato. We hired a van to go to the place which is a good 1 hour from our home. We got there at around 9:30 AM and we were the first people to arrive. Everyone’s excited upon arrival! Being my second time to go to the place, I pointed to my family where is the best cottage to stay. It is the one at the highest point of the place, overlooking the swimming pool.
We traversed this hanging bridge in going up to our cottage.

Online Forum Acronyms and Terms
February 26, 2008As a member of various online forums, I have encountered acronyms and terms used by other members which I am not familiar with. Whenever I encounter a new one, I immediately use Google to find its definition. I tried to search for a site that have all these acronyms and terms already defined but could not find any.
Hence, I compiled these commonly-used acronyms and terms to help others to understand what other forum members are saying. In a way, forum members have their own lingo so to speak.
Why Blog?
February 22, 2008Before I started blogging here (although on an irregular basis), I considered doing blogs as just a waste of time. I know that we can make blogs on anything and everything under the sun but just thinking of the many topics that I have to write of makes me want to shy away from doing so.
I mean, if I have to think and write during my idle time, how can I rest myself from the physical exhaustion brought by the rigors of work? I am already tired at work and during my free time, do I still have to exert some mental effort just to come up with a blog?

As early as Tuesday, February 5, there have been rumors that Shaquille O’Neal is on the trading mill; possibly with the Phoenix Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. I did not believe it and dismiss it as just pure hearsay taking note of what Pat Riley said that he will never trade Shaq even if the Miami Heat has currently lost 19 of its last 20 games, has the NBA’s worst record and is on the verge of missing the playoffs just 2 years after its championship run.
An Afternoon of Near Road Mishap

A near mishap happened last Sunday when we were coming home to Cotabato City from Davao City. I was with my wife Wendy, her parents, auntie and cousin. We were plying the Kabacan – Pagagawan road when we heard some rumbling noise from our left side and our Estrada pickup just tilted to the left. Papang Wilson (Wendy’s father) immediately brought the pickup to a halt and after scurrying to get out of the vehicle, we saw that the left rear tire came off! I immediately saw it lying besides the left front tire.
A Night of Laughter

This is Laugh Tough’s slogan. True enough, I was given a break and I need it badly. It was a very busy and exhausting week for me and my officemates at work as we are all occupied at preparing things for an upcoming audit. That laughter therapy was very helpful in relieving the stress at work. It was also a first-time experience for me to go to a comedy bar.
Wendy’s Anna Sui Perfume

After waiting for two months, I got hold of the perfume I bought from eBay.
It’s a 50ml 1.7 fl oz Anna Sui Secret Wish Eau De Toilette perfume. I bought it from an eBay seller based in Hongkong at a bargain of only US $16.99 ($9.99 for the item + $7 for the shipping). At the time I bought it, the currency exchange is at P44 = $1 so the perfume cost me a meager P750! Considering that the market price for it here in the Philippines is from P3, 000 to P3, 500, I must say that I got it at a huge bargain!
