2006-07 Exquisite Collection #41 Deron Williams Mini-Set

Upper Deck’s NBA Exquisite Collection line of trading cards is one of the most expensive products in the sports trading cards hobby today. One pack which contains 5 cards costs $500! So it is a joy for me to assemble this mini-set of the 2006-07 edition of the Exquisite Collection cards of Deron Williams. D-Will is an NBA player from the Utah Jazz and one of the most exciting young players in the NBA today with his excellent playmaking and scoring skills.

Actually, a complete set includes the four 1 of 1 printing plates (black, cyan, magenta, yellow), the 1 of 1 black rainbow parallel and the 1 of 1 autographed version. They are very hard to find since only one copy of each is existing in the whole world and besides, I can’t afford them anyway so I’m satisfied with this mini-set already. This took me a year to complete.  All of them are bought off eBay. I also indicated each card’s current value based on the Beckett price guide.

2006-07 Exquisite Collection Patches #41P Deron Williams #d 2/10 - this card contains multi-colored patches from D-Will’s jersey and is serial numbered to 10 which means that only 10 copies of this card are existing in the whole world!  (card is unpriced since it is too rare)

2006-07 Exquisite Collection Jerseys #41J Deron Williams #d 13/25 - this card contains swatches from D-Will’s jersey and is serial numbered to 25 ($80)

2006-07 Exquisite Collection Gold #41 Deron Williams #d 13/25 - this card is the parallel version of the base card and is serial numbered to 25  ($80)

2006-07 Exquisite Collection #41 Deron Williams #d 023/225 - this is the regular base card ($40)

I intend to keep this set until I can find a card (or cards) worthy for this to give up. I might also sell depending on the offer.
