Our Wedding Chronicles: Invitation
December 16, 2008NOTE: I’m making a series of blogs narrating the events last year that led to our wedding on December 22, 2007. I’m making this to share to others and for me and my wife to always remember how we became hitched to each other. This is the third blog in the series.
By this time last year, all of our wedding invitations were already distributed. We actually made two types of invitations. One is an informal invitation-cum-souvenir and the other is a more formal one.
The first type was intended to be given to friends. Para na rin siyang souvenir giveway namin. It was a CD of compilation of songs that we personally handpicked. There were 36 songs included which are in MP3 format. Here’s the playlist. Feel free to listen to them. 
There’s also a video included in the CD made by my sister Bona and her BF Jo. The song playing in the background is our theme song, “I Could Not Ask for More” by Edwin McCain.

Of course, our CD would not be complete without a cover and inside sleeve so Bona also made one. This is the cover…

Bona did one heck of a great job. The design was simple yet so attractive. It served its purpose well, as an invitation and souvenir bundled in one. Thanks for doing this sis! We gave away around 50 copies.
The second type of invitation was intended for the older crowd. It is a more formal one given to our ninongs and ninangs, lolos and lolas, titos and titas and friends who don’t belong to our generation, hehe… These are the traditional type of wedding invitations.
The letterings are embossed in green.
We ordered around 75 pieces of these at a souvenir shop in NCCC Mall of Davao. I forgot the name and besides, they were not there anymore. They must have set shop somewhere else.
We also included this seats reservation card to our invitations.
