Twilight Baseball Scene
December 12, 2008I watched the movie last Tuesday with Wendy at Gaisano Mall of Davao and found it full of “kilig” moments. The teenagers in the cinema were all ecstatic and shrieking whenever Edward and Isabella blurted out their sweet nothings to each other.
Edward: That’s what you dream about? Being a monster?
Bella: I dream about being with you forever.
Edward: Are you afraid?
Bella: I’m only afraid of losing you.
Edward: I don’t have the strength to stay away from you anymore.
Bella: Then don’t.
But being a big sports fan, it’s the baseball scene that I liked best. Well yes, even vampires play baseball. It’s America’s past time after all. “Suppermassive Black Hole” by Muse is the title of the song being played while they’re at it. I like the timing of the song to the moves and moods of the characters. It’s very cool! The characters also showed their superhuman powers here in the game. Alice raising her left foot while throwing a fastball is cute. Sooo cute.
The game ended when the nomadic vampires (James, Victoria and Laurent) arrived.
Here’s the video of that scene. Enjoy!

@jenn - hmmm, it’s actually a cool song and really in-tune with the scene..
Posted by ark at December 14, 2008, 7:34 pmI know, I’m a fan of Muse (vaguely); that’s why I wouldn’t have expected it.
And nooooo, it was weird for me. XD I’d read the book version and just…meh.
Posted by jenn at December 14, 2008, 8:38 pm@jenn - Haha, I think I’d have to read the book version to know what you mean.
Hi!
How do you rank this movie friend? Seems like everyone is talking about this movie now.
when i was in davao, my girl friend keep on talking about the movie. she watched the movie not just thrice but four times in two days. bumili pa sya ng dvd at libro. pero di pa rin nya ako naconvince.. hehe
Posted by richard at December 15, 2008, 3:27 pm@lunaticg - on a rank of 1 - 10 with 10 being the highest, I’ll say 7. I hope there will be more action in the sequel “New Moon” You know, battle between good and evil and all that stuff.
Posted by ark at December 15, 2008, 8:20 pm@richard - wow, fanatic pala yang girlfriend mo bro.. Why are you not convinced? Not a fan of teeny-bopper-feel-good-love stories huh?
Posted by ark at December 15, 2008, 8:33 pmsecond the motion ark! my gulay astig!
Posted by sarz at December 17, 2008, 1:18 pm@sarz - astig jud sarz? Hehe.. Musta na?
Posted by ark at December 17, 2008, 3:54 pmI don’t want to break the hype or anything, ’cause I haven’t watched this… but the lines I read on the internet were just… so corny. Probably GREAT in the book, but cheesy when an actual person speaks it.
I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. Let’s wait until I’ve read it. Hehe.
Thanks for the visit on my blog!
Sorry, tagal na di ako nakadaan dito.
@alia - well, you have to watch the movie first and see for yourself kung corny nga o hindi..

Posted by ark at December 20, 2008, 12:05 pmthat was a sweet exchange of sweet lines… now, i think im gonna find some dibidi copies out there… badly, we dont have a cinema here.
Posted by The Islander at December 24, 2008, 1:48 pm@The Islander - yeah, a dibidi is always a good resort.. Mas mura kaysa sa sinehan at pwede mo pa ulit-ulitin..
Posted by ark at December 24, 2008, 2:02 pmheheh, my colleague went to watch it and he mentioned that it was long and draggy. But when I enquired if the girls watching the movie shrieked whenever Edwards came on screen, he went, “Yup! They really did! It was deafening!!”
Posted by Pu Niao at December 28, 2008, 11:05 pm@Pu Niao - haha, I wonder why we guys don’t shriek whenever the cute girl characters came on screen?

Man, I would probably safely say that’s the last song I expected to appear in Twilight. XD
