Pacquiao vs dela Hoya "The Dream Match" Bout: My Result Forecast
December 3, 2008What do you get when you bring together inside a ring boxing’s most famous superstar and its best fighter? When Oscar “Golden Boy” dela Hoya and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao meets on December 6 (December 7 here in the Phillipines) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; the highly-anticipated bout will be dubbed as “The Dream Match”.
Others are calling it as “The Dream Mismatch” because of the sheer size advantage dela Hoya has over Pacquiao. They believe that the former is too tall, too big and too strong for the latter. Coming into the fight, Manny is a 2 – 1 underdog. He thrives though in the face of adversity as he was a 4 – 1 underdog when he beat Marco Antonio Barrera in 2004 which ultimately paved the way for his superstardom. But this time, it’s a different story as he goes up two weight classes to meet a man bigger than him. He had already shown that he can beat a bigger opponent when he KOd David Diaz on his last fight but Oscar is not patsy and of different caliber.
This fight will be close. My fearless forecast?
Manny Pacquiao by Unanimous Decision after 12 rounds.

@ohmski - you are right but I don’t think it will be a draw. Their styles are completely different from each other that one is sure to give way one way or another.
