Videoke Session at World Palace KTV Bar
October 25, 2008
My teammates at work are based at three offices, Cotabato City (where I am based), Zamboanga City and Davao City (our main office). We seldom meet; our correspondence is always through call, text message or email so whenever we have a team meeting, we go out at night to have “bonding-bonding” and relieve ourselves from the stress brought by work.
FLASHBACK: If I remember correctly, the last time we had fun was during the stag party they gave me before my wedding last December 6, 2007 at Marco Polo Hotel. Okay, it was not really a stag party per se, as women are supposed to be not allowed but it was a party nonetheless!
We had our first meeting this year with all the new faces onboard last October 16. During lunch break, we agreed to go that night to World Palace KTV Bar located at Juna Subd, Matina, Davao City. I think it just opened last year. I brought Wendy along.
The nice thing about this place is that their KTV rooms have themes based on different countries. No wonder then that it is called World Palace. Ours is Japan-themed.
If you want to see what the other rooms look like, click here.
We arrived to find our teammates already at our Japan room singing.
It was a meeting of old and new faces as some of our former teammates Sarz and Maej (who left us to venture into greener pastures) arrived and joined the riot.
We were also amused to discover Raf unleashing his “dark side”.
We left at around 11:00 PM but not before posing/goofing for moments at the hallway…

… in front of the counter…
… and at the stairway.
This lantern contraption was hanging by the doorway and has caught my fancy so I decided to snap a shot as well.
Compared with the other KTV bars at Davao City, World Palace KTV Bar is more expensive. We spent P3,200. It is of course consumable for food and drinks. The food on their menu is just your normal “pulutan”, nothing out of the ordinary. The place is neat and well-maintained. The CR is also clean. The sound system is great especially the TV which is very wide, flat and clear.
But what I liked best about it is the themed-room concept. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think there’s nothing like it at Davao City. Maybe we should try the other rooms next time.

@sarz - dili bitaw kato. Ang pasabot man nako is first bonding nga naa ang mga bago namo na kauban sa team.
Kahinumdum baya ko ato’ng sa Korokkan oi. Naa pa gani si NJ ug JJ ato.
Basta next time, kanta-kanta na pud ta.
i can see the line “all work no play makes a dull boy” in this post. it’s good to know that the team from the different branch enjoy their work thru this short moments together.
