Get Paid to Blog About the Things You Love!
June 6, 2008When I was still studying, I was twice named the editor-in-chief for our school paper. It was first, for The Children’s Voice during my elementary days at KPCS and second, for The NDK Herald during my secondary days at Notre Dame of Kabacan. I was passive during my college days and didn’t even try to contribute to our university and college publications at UIC.
But now, I realize that being a writer runs naturally within my veins. My mother was a very good one. She has already passed away (God bless her soul) but I still remember her collection of poems she had written. She even submitted some of them to various magazines and they were published. Heck, if she were still alive, she might also blog!
I also remembered how I won 2nd place in a regional slogan-making contest I participated in. She was the one who drafted the slogan for me to work on. I was invited to appear on local TV (ABS-CBN Cotabato) to receive the prize money. That was my first media exposure. I think I was 10 years old then.
My sister Bona is also a good writer, albeit a frustrated one. Or so, she claims.
And now that we are living in a cyber age, writing took up a new form called blogging. During my research at wikipedia regarding blogging, I came across Payperpost. I read the entry for it and I found it too interesting. I went to their website and this is the phrase that really attracted me, “get paid to blog about the things you love!” Wow, is that really possible? Hmm… really interesting. I signed up immediately and now that I am a member, opportunities are being presented for me to take. I just have to incorporate certain products/services into my blogs and I will be paid for doing so. Cool! This is called blog advertising.
Writing my personal memoirs in the form of blog has been a satisfying experience for me. I don’t care if there are actually people who read my blogs (thank you for those who really do) but this is fast becoming an outlet for me to voice out my inner insights. A chance to just express random thoughts culled from the deep recesses of my existence. The fact that I can even earn some cash from doing so is a very much welcome development.
