Wendy’s Anna Sui Perfume
January 21, 2008Finally!
After waiting for two months, I got hold of the perfume I bought from eBay.
It’s a 50ml 1.7 fl oz Anna Sui Secret Wish Eau De Toilette perfume. I bought it from an eBay seller based in Hongkong at a bargain of only US $16.99 ($9.99 for the item + $7 for the shipping). At the time I bought it, the currency exchange is at P44 = $1 so the perfume cost me a meager P750! Considering that the market price for it here in the Philippines is from P3, 000 to P3, 500, I must say that I got it at a huge bargain!
Although I must also say that it came too late for the purpose of why I bought it.
Sometime last October, while I am with my girl at a department store looking for items to use at our wedding (which was celebrated last December BTW), we happened to pass by the perfume section and she tried on different scents. She really liked the Anna Sui Secret Wish perfume and commented that she wants to wear that scent at our wedding. Since it was not included in our budget, we moved on muttering what we Pinoys always say to the saleslady when we don’t have the money to buy something we pine for, “Balikan lang namin miss.” Hehehe…
But being the ‘bargain hunter’ that I am (that’s euphemism for ‘kuripot’, hehehe..), I searched for the item at the best bargain web site in the world, eBay. I looked first at eBay Philippines but they’re being sold at the regular market price range of P3, 000 to P3, 500. I moved to eBay International and immediately find one being auctioned at a starting price of $9.99. The seller said that it is an unwanted gift from a friend that’s why she is selling it and at such a low price. The bidding ended on November 14 and since I was the only who submitted a bid (although I noticed that many inquired for the shipping cost), I won it. With the $7 shipping charge, I paid for it through PayPal on November 17. It was shipped to me on November 19 with an email from the seller who was very apologetic in saying that I might receive it one month because their post office would only accept delivery of perfumes by ship instead of through the air. Since the wedding is scheduled on December 22, I was confident that I will receive it just in time.
But nothing came…
My girl bought an Avon perfume instead and used it for the wedding.
Then last Friday after coming home from Davao City, a notice from the post is waiting for me. I immediately know that it must finally be for the perfume. Since it was already past office hours and already weekend, it is just this morning that I picked-up the package at the post office. And sure enough, it’s the 1.7 fl oz Anna Sui Secret Wish Eau De Toilette perfume. I brought it at the office and my girl could not contain her joy when she opened it.
The glow on her face when she sprayed it on her wrist and smelled it is enough for me to forget that we received it too late for the wedding.
Thank you Jeanette for the item. That’s one positive feedback for you.

Hi there.. didn’t know it was your wedding. First of all i must congratulate you both! Sorry about the fact that I only knew that perfumes were only allowed to ship via sea freight instead of air but i couldn’t believe that the item got delivered to you 2 mths afterwards, different from what the post office told me! Thanks for your patience. And so sorry it missed the most important day of your life. But lookin at the reaction from your wife, not only does she loves the scent but also the thoughtfulness of you. Well congratulations once again and may GOD bless you both on your new journey together!! Cheers ebay seller…….. netlam
